I've done all sorts of interesting things working with The Well, and last week I had the opportunity to direct a fashion photo shoot for our narimon brand, which we're beginning to use for our products. The name comes from a Thai word meaning ‘pure’, ‘immaculate’, ‘flawless’, ‘virgin’, ‘innocent’, ‘spotless’, ‘stainless’, ‘queen’, ‘fair maiden’, ‘beautiful girl’. We're hoping to launch a web site within a couple of weeks. Photographer Paul Cypert did a nice job, and our women were quite stunning, especially since I knew their stories. Here are a couple of samples, and I've put up a very rough site landing page at narimon.org.
i recently received an email from Jim Larson, Director of The Well, a ministry in Bangkok, Thailand. i followed the email back to his ministry's blogsite Servant Works. from there I clicked over to a video, which I am still watching (it's 30 minutes long), one of his friends produced for The Orchard, a church in the Chicago area. the video journals part of a trip to Thailand, including minimal information about The Well. there is supposed to be a 2nd and 3rd video to this series posted online at some point in the near future.
i have been interested in sending Jim a hard drive for his computer and was pleasantly surprised that the video producer sought help from his church to buy Mr. Larson a new MacBook Pro, which he delivered on this recent trip to Thailand.
before last summer, i had never traveled outside the United States. i'm sure that wherever i am to travel, my heart will connect to that place. for now my heart is connected to Bangkok and the ministry of The Well.
if you have time, click over to the video and learn about what God is doing in Bangkok. let me know what your thoughts are after you do!
